Paying your fees

You can pay your fees using any of the methods shown below.

Remember, it’s important to pay on time or overdue fee penalties will apply.

Recommended payment methods

1. Pay via Enrolment Online with VISA or MasterCard - all students

Log in to your financial details using a desktop or tablet device to pay:

  • tuition fees
  • materials fees
  • administration fees, and
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

Benefits of paying via Enrolment Online

  • Make real-time credit card payments using VISA and MasterCard.
  • Allocate your payment to specific fees and charges, or make a lump-sum payment.
  • Your student number and payment information are pre-populated (no need to enter details manually).
  • After payment, your account updates in real-time (typically within 5 minutes) and a receipt is emailed to your student email account.

If you are unable to access Enrolment Online you can pay via the RMIT online payment system, however, please allow at least two business days before the due date on your tax invoice for payments to clear.

Payment allocation

When you make a payment in Enrolment Online, you will be given the opportunity to allocate it to specific fees and charges. Payments not made and allocated by you via Enrolment Online will be allocated to charges with the earliest due date first, then in the following order:

  • unpaid charges from a previous invoice
  • materials fees
  • library fines
  • Student services and amenities fees (SSAF) and other administration fees
  • student contributions or tuition fees
  • any other charges.

2. Pay your fees from an overseas bank account – international students

If you are an international student you can pay your RMIT fees from your overseas bank account with a telegraphic (wire) transfer using the Western Union Business Solutions payment portal.

It’s a faster, more reliable way for you to pay. Your payment will be automatically recorded in your online student account within one business day of the payment being received.
