Troubleshooting access to online collections
Access problems from off-campus
Cookies and/or pop-ups might be disabled
When accessing our online collections outside RMIT, your browser will ask you to accept a security certificate to make sure that your login and password details are encrypted. The certificate appears in a pop-up window, so make sure that pop-up blocker is disabled.
Your browser also needs to accept or enable cookies. If you are not sure how to enable cookies, go to Google's guide on How to Enable Cookies.
Login not working
If you are having trouble logging in, you might need your password reset. Follow the advice on the password assistance page.
Internet Service Providers (ISP) is blocking access
Most Internet Service providers work with our security setup. If it looks like your ISP is blocking access, let us know via the Ask a Librarian service, so we can rule out other technical or login issues.
Full text is not available
Not all of our databases provide full text for every journal. Unfortunately, in some databases it may not be clear that we don’t subscribe to a full text version of a journal, or that there is only a partial access to full text, which can lead to confusion. If you find that you cannot access full text of an article, you can request a copy using the Document Delivery Services.
Still having problems?
Tell us about it using the database access problems form.
