Unleash your art on City campus

Have your artwork seen in prominent public spaces.

You’re invited to make a mark on Melbourne’s CBD with the rare opportunity to showcase your artwork on prominent public canvases around City campus.

Incorporating fixed works on hoarding inside the campus along Bowen Street and digital works projected onto the façade of Buildings 10 and 12 along Swanston Street, the Urban Animators: Living Laboratory program will transform the heart of the City campus.

Ten artworks – five digital projection and five hoarding artworks - will be commissioned in the program's first stage.

More than 50 artworks will be commissioned over two-and-a-half years, providing you with significant exposure and funding.

If you’re shortlisted you’ll receive $500 to develop your concept and commissioned artists will be awarded $1500 for each artwork.

Artworks will be displayed for a fixed term during the life of the New Academic Street construction program, scheduled to start in mid-2015, subject to RMIT Council approval.

So what are you waiting for? Submit your expression of interest in the first stage of the Urban Animators: Living Laboratory program today. Expressions of interest will be accepted between Monday 18 May 2015 and Friday 5 June 2015.

Urban Animators: Living Laboratory is run in partnership between the New Academic Street Team and the Centre for Art Society and Transformation.
