40K Globe Internship to Rural India

Here’s your chance to assess and respond to the needs of local villagers in India.

If you have ever wanted to make a difference but needed that little push, attend an information session on 40K Globe next Tuesday on campus and learn how you can take part in a social enterprise program in India while gaining credit towards your degree.

40K Globe is a leader in social entrepreneurship. With a mission to empower people to empower others through social enterprise and innovation, they will introduce you to ways you can make a difference overseas using sustainable methods of innovation.

As part of the Global Entrepreneurship and Internship Program (GEIP) offered by the College of Business, you can take part in a one month crash course in social enterprise and innovation over the July University break. During the month, you will travel to India and work with a team of like-minded students on a 40K Globe Impact Project where you will apply principles of lean start up method, design thinking and social entrepreneurship to identify and combat regional specific needs.

40K Globe will immerse you in an incredible community that will challenge you to develop and implement long-term sustainable solutions to issues surrounding employment, health, education and more.

  • 12:30pm Tuesday 12 April in Building 80, Level 7, Room 2, City campus
  • 2:30pm Tuesday 19 April in Building 80, Level 10, Room 17, City campus
  • 12:30pm Tuesday 26 April in Building 80, Level 7, Room 2, City campus.

Can’t make the information session? You can still submit an application. Application close date has been extended to midnight on Sunday 1 May 2016.
