PhD Scholarship in Multimodal Representation Learning

In this industry-linked project, the multimodal data analysis problem will be first considered for analysis of images, sounds and text data combined. The results will be then extended to video and time-series analysis.

Further information

This is a collaborative R&D project with an industry partner. The student will be exposed to a range of real-world data analytics problems and will gain valuable experience. To protect the industry partner’s IP, the student will have to sign a confidentiality agreement. The student will be spending 3-4 days per week in the industry (in Melbourne) and 1-2 days at the University for meeting and progress review with the academic supervisory team.

Value and duration

$30,000 per year for maximum four years

Eligibility

Only available to Australian Permanent Residents or Citizens with qualifications in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering, or in Computer Science with H1 equivalence.
