RMIT enrolment form

At enrolment you will be required to verify your personal information. If your details are incorrect or missing you should make changes on the form. Please familiarise yourself with each section of the RMIT enrolment form.

1.   Name/date of birth

Please ensure your name and date of birth are correctly recorded.

To change your name on your student record, you must complete a Variation to personal details form (PDF 149kb 2p) and lodge it at RMIT Connect with certified documentary evidence.

2.    Citizenship

It is critical to select the correct citizenship option. This information is used to help determine your eligibility for either a government funded, fee-paying or international place. You must also provide proof (original or certified copy) of your citizenship status, such as a birth certificate, current passport, visa or travel document.

If your citizenship status changes after enrolment, you must complete a Notification of change to citizenship/immigration status form (PDF 144kb 2p) and lodge it at RMIT Connect.

3.    Emergency contact

Please provide the name and contact details of a close relative or friend that you would like us to contact in the case of an emergency.

You can also update your emergency contact details in Enrolment Online by logging in to myRMIT. This information will also be updated in RMIT’s student administration system.

4.    Permanent home address

Your permanent home address is where you live when you are not studying.

If your address changes you must update your details in Enrolment Online by logging to to myRMIT. This information will also be updated in RMIT’s student administration system.

5.    Mailing address/term address

RMIT sends important correspondence to your mailing address. You must be able to access correspondence sent to your mailing address regularly.

If your address changes you must update your details in Enrolment Online by logging in to myRMIT. This information will also be updated in RMIT’s student administration system.

If you fail to keep your mailing address details up-to-date you will not receive important information relating to your studies, results and in some instances the retention of your place at RMIT.

Onshore international students

Your enrolment form also asks for an Australian residence address. This may be the same as your mailing address. In accordance with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act, international students studying in Melbourne are required to advise RMIT immediately of any address changes.

6.   Workplace address

This field is only compulsory for apprentices/trainees.

If your workplace address changes you must update your address details in Enrolment Online by logging in to myRMIT. This information will also be updated in RMIT’s student administration system.

7.   Mobile phone number

If you have a mobile phone we strongly recommend that you provide the number to RMIT, so you can be contacted easily if required.

Your mobile phone number may be used for the purposes of conducting University student satisfaction surveys. If you do not wish for your mobile phone number to be used for this purpose please contact the Survey Services Centre.

8.   Cross institutional students

This field is only relevant to students with a concurrent enrolment at another institution, when that study is to count towards your program and award (qualification) at RMIT.

9.   Declaration and signature

Make sure that you read the declaration and sign the enrolment form. Your enrolment cannot be processed unless the form is signed.

It is your responsibility to make sure that your enrolment is correct.
