True Cost Film Screening
Join RMIT’s Fair Trade Coordinator for Fair Trade goodies and a screening of the moving and powerful documentary The True Cost. The film explores the impact of the fashion industry on people and the environment. It pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing?

Leadership in Fair Trade, Sustainability and Social Enterprise - Seminar
Learn firsthand from Seven Women’s founder and their Nepal director about their experiences creating a sustainable charity that has employed over 5000 women. Hear about the challenges of establishing a viable and sustainable social enterprise and how Fair Trade and enterprise can create a world of good.

The RUSU Sustainability Department, along with RUSU Brunswick, are hosting a Fair Trade-themed Sustainability Drinks, featuring guest speakers including RMIT Fair Trade Coordinator Melanie Lazelle, a Fair Trade Fortnight representative. There will also be a showcase of work by Fashion and Textiles students. It will also provide a relaxed social setting for staff and students to talk all things sustainability and Fair Trade related. And for those on a student budget, don't stress! There will be a generous bar tab and nibbles provided.

World’s Biggest Coffee Break
Be part of the world's biggest coffee break at Pearson and Murphy's Cafe for the World Fairtrade Challenge. Drink delicious Fair Trade coffee for just $2.50 (for one day only) and unite with other coffee lovers to support Fair Trade farmers in their fight against climate change and trade inequalities. Don't forget to ask at the counter for Fair Trade coffee!

World Fair Trade Challenge
Join the World Fair Trade Challenge on 13-15 May - we invite you to hold your own morning tea or coffee event. With your help, Fairtrade International is aiming to reach a record number of cups of Fair Trade coffee consumed over three days to help small-scale coffee farmers improve their livelihoods and fight the effects of climate change.
