Google apps

Google apps enhances online communication and enables collaboration for staff and students.

Google Apps for Education is a suite of cloud-based tools that can be used to create and share documents (including spreadsheets and presentations), websites, and blogs. Google apps also supports real-time communication using text, audio, and video.

Tools within the suite that can be used to support learning and teaching include:

  • Drive - create, store, and share documents, presentations, and spreadsheets
  • Sites - provides personal or collaborative workspaces for classes
  • Google+ (including Hangouts) - provides a means of conducting group work across different locations (opt-in access)
  • Blogger - offers easy-to-use templates and layouts for anyone to create a blog (opt-in access)
