Course Description

Radio Communication enables the transmission of information over wireless channels such as air in the earth’s atmosphere or vacuum in space.

In this course, students learns the principle of radio communication, the basic operation of devices that make up communication systems, and the design of a digital microwave radio relay system.

 


Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development

This course enables students to:

1. Calculate the Performance of a Radio Communication System by means of a Level Diagram.

2. Design and analyse the performance of Digital Microwave Radio Relay Systems.

3. Predict Mobile Propagation Path Loss.

4. Develop Independent and Cooperative Learning, Project Management, Teamwork and Communication skills.
