Course Description
This course assists the student’s theoretical, practical and professional development from their prior involvement with the Hybrid Media course and to further develop their skills more specifically in the area of Fine Art Animation and Time-based image manipulation. Project courses facilitate individual student projects devised in consultation with their lecturers and course advisers. Practical, theoretical and historical studies are possible depending on the student’s research focus.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
To assist students to:
1). To consider and incorporate a wide range of animation skills, both analogue and digital, into a single project, or series of short projects;
2) Become articulate in the communication of the visual concepts in which they are working in:
3). To consider and utilise the varied screening, exhibition and funding opportunities available to you as a student, and also once you have graduated from RMIT;
4). To resolve all production issues associated with the student’s chosen project.
Overview of Learning Activities
Animation concepts and their application will be explored via class Lectures, Screenings and workshops, with the opportunity to discuss and critique
these outcomes in class, in one on one consultations with the lecturer, and in the combined Media Arts reviews.
