Course Description

This module develops skills for gathering data and diagnosing problems in organisations. It introduces methods, tools and techniques for data gathering and analysis.


Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development

Participants will be capable of appropriately designing and applying interventions in varying organisational settings.


Learning Objectives:

  • This module will develop the ability to introduce innovation and change by implementing strategies for change management within organisations.

Expected Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding of the principles underlying a knowledge driven organisation.
  • Ability to use surveys, interviews, archival research, trend analysis and other tools for data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to use selected computer based applications and tools.
  • Understanding of how to develop responsiveness in organisations by creating unity, alignment, tension, empowerment and implementing continuous improvement.
  • Ongoing personal growth in line with the ISM Program objectives and personal learning contracts.
  • Ongoing development of communication and team skills within the learning community.
