Satisfactory progression with Independent Project 1.


Course Description

Independent Project 2 continues on with the work undertaken in Independent Project 1 in Semester 1. The student is expected to complete the literature review to a standard that could be published in a relevant journal.


Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development

The student will be required to undertake research through a number of mediums, meet regularly with their supervisor, and write a paper that is of a 4th year academic standard.


At the completion of the project, students will be expected to have;

Detailed understanding of APA referencing style

Thorough knowledge of the area they researched for the project


Overview of Learning Activities

The student will be allocated a supervisor and with whom they will have regular contact for support and advice. This is usually the supervisor who has guided them in Independent project 1 as Independent project 2 is a continuation of the work undertaken in this course.


Overview of Learning Resources

Reading and associated resources will be dependent upon the student project. Students will be required to research articles and other literature in order to complete the project.


Overview of Assessment

The final written research project comprises the final mark for Independent Project 2.
