Course Description

The course aims to provide participants with a broad understanding of the business of airline alliances. It will provide a comprehensive platform from which participants can apply their learning in the world of airline management both within the course and more importantly in their own company.

On completion of the course, participants will:

  • Understand the impact of alliances on consumers, staff and industry partners and have developed approaches to mitigate negative implications.
  • Understand the regulatory and economic drivers behind todays alliance environment.
  • Have an understanding of the financial impact of alliance relationships and the issues behind accessing their value.
  • Be able to identify various alliance management models and appreciate their pros and cons.
  • Have applied their learning to an airline in the marketplace and produced a board level proposal which recomends a strategic direction for the company.
