Course assumes a basic knowledge of programming at an algorithmic level.
Course Description
Course covers the elements of the C++ language from basic language statements to functions
and classes. All aspects of Object Oriented programming OOP ) in this language will be covered.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
By applying principles and skills presented in lectures during tutes and labs,
students will develop the capability to apply C++ language to solving problems
in a commercial or media related area.
Learning outcomes are knowledge and skills in C++ language which enable
students to apply the language to problem solving.
Overview of Learning Activities
Learning activities are lectures, tutes and assignments.
These will be presented in the classroom and in PC laboratories.
Overview of Learning Resources
Learning resources are PC laboratories for programming skill development,
lecture notes and tutorial sessions.
Overview of Assessment
Assessment will be by means of a final exam and
lab tests of programming skills.
