Course Description

The aim of Cooperative Education, Work Integrated Learning (WIL 1) is to prepare students for the work place. This is achieved through attending several workshops throughout the semester.


Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development

At the conclusion of this subject, you should:
*Be able to prepare job application letters and a curriculum vitae.
*Have a better understanding of how to find a co-op position.
*Have a better understanding of the career opportunities available to you.
*Have developed your interview skills and personal presentation.
*Have gained an understanding the types of roles/employer requirements/business etiquette.
*Have further developed your presentation skills.
*Have developed a Learning Contract


At the conclusion of your cooperative education experience, you should:

Students must pass the Work Preparation Programme to be eligible for the School to give assistance in gaining a co-op placement.
