Pre-requisite Courses and Assumed Knowledge and Capabilities

The pre-requisite for Financial Planning Work Integrated Learning 2 (WIL 2) is the satisfactory completion of BAFI 2105 Financial Planning Work Integrated Learning 1 and BAFI 2107 Financial Planning Work Experience Industry 1.


Course Description

All students are required to undertake a major work related project that will demonstrate the integration of theory and practice. Co-op students concurrently undertaking BAFI 2108 Financial Planning Work Experience Industry 2 (WEI 2), are also required to make an oral presentation of their report to a panel made up of at least, their workplace supervisor and the academic mentor. Students will be supplied with a detailed document which outlines the requirements, suggests some possible topic areas and specifies the method of presentation and the necessary deadlines.


Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development

Have developed your research skills and enhanced your written and oral presentation skills. Be able to plan and deliver a business presentation.

Overview of Learning Activities

In conjunction with your work place supervisor and the RMIT Academic Mentor you will choose a topic related to your degree and submit a synopsis and prepare a 3,000 – 5,000 word report. You will also be required to give an oral presentation of your report to a panel made up of your academic mentor, your workplace supervisor and one other employer representative.
