You should undertake COSC2356 Work Placement at the same time as this course as it contains areas of knowledge and skills which are implemented together in practice. This is a co-requisite course.

Assumed Knowledge
The work placement course requires knowledge of multimedia design courses in years 1, 2 and 3 of the Multimedia degree.
Course Description
This course is a companion to COSC 2356 Work Placement for administration purposes. The Work Placement course allows Multimedia students to experience work in an area allied with the degree program and to practise course skills in an industry environment.
The work placement course requires that the student undertake a work placement in an outside company for the duration of the first semester. It may be able to be taken overseas.
This is the designated Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course for BP153/BP153O|S Bachelor of Design (Multimedia Systems). This course includes a work integrated learning experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
This course has the objective of administering the Multimedia Year 4 student work placements.
Capabilities
By undertaking this work placement, student can develop commercial capabilities in the areas of the work placement.
To gain experience and develop expertise in multimedia activities. These will be provided through the experience that the work placement provides.
