Course Description

In this course you will consolidate the knowledge and experience you have gained during the degree. In this course you work towards constructing your own teaching/education philosophy and plan for transition into work environments. You will reflect on interpersonal relationships, life-long learning, effective classroom environments and your role as an emerging educational professional.

This course will involve a range of activities including research, reflection, discussion, observation, responding to educational scenarios, lectures, workshops and online activities.

Overview of Learning Resources

RMIT will provide you with resources and tools for learning in this course through our online systems. A list of recommended learning resources will be provided by your lecturer, including books, journal articles and web resources. You will also be expected to seek further resources relevant to the focus of your own learning.

Overview of Assessment

You will be assessed on how well you meet the course’s learning outcomes and on your development against the program capabilities. Assessment tasks are directly linked to the stated objectives and outcomes. Accordingly, assessments will be both theoretical and practical in nature. A range of formative and summative types will be incorporated into the course (for example: curriculum design, written, oral or performance based assessment).

Feedback will be given on all assessment tasks.
