Successful completion of GRAP2843 Textile Design Persona Project.
Alternatively, you may be able to demonstrate the required skills and knowledge before you start this course.
In this course you will undertake a textile design project related to specific discipline specialisations.
This capstone course requires you to define and demonstrate your own textile design practice to a professional standard in a related discipline or industry context. As a capstone experience, it is designed to enable you to synthesise and integrate knowledge, connect theory and practice as well as demonstrate a holistic achievement of program learning outcomes.
This capstone course provides an opportunity for you to prepare for and reflect on your transition from university into your future professional career. The course is designed for you to apply and critically reflect upon the ideas, skills and graduate capabilities you have gained through your program. It will also help you to critically evaluate professional practices using scholarly ideas and your own insights.
You will engage in the presentation of research and design outcomes and gain experience in presenting to external stakeholders.

In this course you will develop the following program learning outcomes:
PLO1: Demonstrate broad knowledge of textile design creation and production with depth and expertise in one or more areas of practice.
PLO5: Demonstrate creative, critical textile design thinking that recognises emerging trends and issues suitable for contemporary textile design and related industries.
PLO6: Communicate and present design concepts using a diverse range of presentation mediums and materials in industry specific and broader design contexts.
PLO8: Initiate, develop and realise textile design projects effectively in collaboration with industry, community or professional partners as part of professional development.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
CLO1: Apply creative design thinking to demonstrate a holistic perspective and intricate theoretical and technical knowledge to inform an innovative textile design response.
CLO2: Demonstrate a high level of personal autonomy and accountability, and a reflective approach to generating innovative design and project outcomes.

Assessment tasks are directly aligned with each Course Learning Outcome. They are as follows:
