Redbacks seventh overall at the University Games

RMIT’s Redbacks finished seventh overall at the Australian University Games, recently held in Perth, Western Australia. 42 universities took part in this weeklong event, featuring the best university athletes in the country.
Two-hundred and thirty passionate and competitive Redbacks did RMIT proud.
We finished off the week with three overall sport pennants awarded to our AFL women, golf and men's futsal teams.
Congratulations also to our two beach volleyball, tenpin bowling and fencing teams, who finished second overall, and to our mixed netball team, who placed third.
A special mention also goes to our men's basketball team, who picked up gold in the men's division 2.
We also had 16 athletes awarded Green and Gold medals, acknowledged as the best athletes in the tournament:
