Further details

Meet the Maker tours provide a unique opportunity to step inside the workspaces of some of Melbourne’s top professional art and design studios.

Saint Gertrude is letterpress artist Amy Constable, one of Australia’s original ‘new’ letterpress printers.

Working her way up from a small table top hobby press in 2008 to a fully-automatic printing beast in 2015, Amy’s particular specialty is hands-on, manual printing.

Working with prominent illustrators and designers from around the country to create tactile letterpress art, her proudest achievement is building a commercial business on redundant technology. In 2013, Amy branched into teaching letterpress workshops to further contribute to the print revolution of Australia.
