Do you use imaging technology in your research?

Canon’s Extreme Imaging Competition open for entries.

The prestigious scientific imaging competition is open to all Australian undergraduate and postgraduate students who are developing new techniques or devices to produce or analyse images as part of their supervised research project.

Prizes including $1000 cash and vouchers up to $5000 for Canon products will be awarded for best research projects in the domain of imaging science, including photography and videography. Example topics might include imaging at unusual wavelengths, ultra-fast photography, imaging in difficult environments or imaging innovation addressing social or environmental issues.

All entries will be judged by a highly-esteemed panel of researchers from Canon Information Systems Australia Pty Ltd (CiSRA) and Australian university representatives.

This competition is launched by CiSRA and the Powerhouse Museum to celebrate the advancements and encourage greater participation in imaging-related research in Australia.
