Media comms students take on the iconic MCG

Students participating in Sleep at the G

Follow #RMITmission and #SleepattheG to find out how these students will cope tonight.

Tonight four media communication students will swap the comfort of their beds to raise vital funds to help end youth homelessness.

Last year Melbourne City Mission hosted its first ever Sleep at the ‘G and raised over $300,000 in the process. They’re hosting it again this year but this time with a $500,000 fundraising goal in sight.

Helping achieve this goal are students Moses Muldoon, Ruby Susan , Kris Vanston and Matt L. Jowet, who as Team RMIT will not only brave the cold and sleep rough at the ‘G but they’ll also be documenting their night through social media using the hashtags #RMITmission and #SleepattheG.

With only a cardboard box to sleep on, and a basic dinner and breakfast provided, Team RMIT will get a taste of what more than 6000 homeless young people in Victoria experience on any given night.

Throw your support behind their efforts by making a donation through their fundraising page and/or follow and share their #SleepattheG adventures using the hashtag #RMITmission.
