Are you up for an Upstream Challenge?

2014 Upstream Challenge participants

It’s not a question of whether you’ll take on the challenge but rather if you’ll run or walk!

Take on a physical challenge and support the local community this November.

The Upstream Challenge is a 50km walk or run from Melbourne to Donvale along the picturesque Yarra River. There’s also a 20km option that starts at Yarra Flats and concludes at Donvale.

The event which will be held on Saturday 14 November is about having fun, but most of all it is about raising awareness and funds for several really inspiring projects. It’s not a race but you can make it one among your friends if you’re competitively inclined!

You can enter as an individual or team. There is also no registration fee; however you must commit to collect a minimum of $200 in donations, $50 of which will need to be donated at the time of registration. With 100% of donations going directly to the beneficiaries, you also get to nominate the beneficiary you wish to support. This year, the chosen beneficiaries are Summer Foundation, FareShare and the Isabella and Marcus Paediatric Brainstem Tumour Fund.

Get involved – get your friends and family involved and together get active this spring!
