Macquarie Digital Portraiture Award

Whether you are a digital designer, game maker, film maker or simply an art enthusiast, this could be the big break you have always wanted.

Are you a digital art wizard? Win a bursary, a residency program with the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts and an exhibition spot at the National Portrait Gallery.

The competition

Portraits are not just oil painting of old people. While your grandparents may disagree, even Facebook pages can be a form of portraiture. To be eligible, your digital portrait must be:

• a moving image

• a compelling expression of identity

• your original work

• fit for display on a single-channel flat-panel monitor.

You must be between 18 and 30 years old to enter. Only one submission per person is allowed.

Prizes

• a $10,000 bursary

• a residency program at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts

• an exhibition spot at the National Portrait Gallery from 22 August to 23 November 2014.

Dates

Submissions close on 31 July 2014.
