The Leader Profiles have been designed by RMIT for RMIT based on the leadership challenges and experiences a leader is likely to face in delivering Ready for Life and Work.
Each of the Profiles identifies:
- Challenges that leaders may face
- Experiences that leaders may have had or can expect to have
- Capabilities are built out into expected actions
- Style of leadership
- Motivations for the job; and
- Cognitive abilities

Turns strategy into action and implements University goals and priorities.
Operationalises the University strategy to prioritise and deliver work.
Be Ready Leadership Development Program
The Be Ready Leadership Development Program is to build and develop the strengths of RMIT leaders to execute and realise the goals in RMIT’s Strategic Plan to 2020. The program is composed of experiential workshops and a range of action learning sessions and masterclasses presented over nine months. The program is available to the University's Executive, Senior and Operating Leaders.

The two-day People Management Essentials workshop is designed specifically for all RMIT People Managers with one or more direct reports. The workshop provides a clear and comprehensive guide to the fundamentals of good people management practices to support managers to provide a healthy, safe, fair and productive workplace throughout the employee lifecycle.
