New printer technology deployment
To date, over 140 new multi-function printers have been deployed across the University as part of the Think Print Think Green project.
These devices have improved print speeds and delivered increased functionality, including “Find-me” capability which allows users to release print jobs at any multi-function device.
“Green” features include higher device energy ratings, double-sided printing as default and the ability to choose which documents are released from the printer, thereby reducing paper, energy and CO2 emissions.
During the rollout of devices to the Bundoora and Brunswick campuses, a number of change management and staff communications issues were identified. These issues are currently being resolved and factored into the planning activities for rollout to the City Campus.
