The Other Election

Throw your support behind an election of another kind.

The Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) is calling on one million Australians to vote in The Other Election where 600 Indigenous kids in years 10–12 delivering their speeches as the first Indigenous Prime Minister.

AIME’s goal is to see an Indigenous Prime Minister in our lifetime and an Australia where no kid gets left behind. Given that these inspirational kids wrote, rehearsed and recorded their speeches within just two hours, imagine the possibilities they could achieve in a lifetime!

Based on your votes, the top ten kids will be flown to Sydney for workshops with Australia’s leading industry experts. The Other Election will then conclude with the top three kids delivering their speeches in Canberra.

You can also support AIME by taking part in this year’s National Hoodie Day. Get yourself a limited edition AIME Hoodie and bring them closer to their goal of working with 10,000 Indigenous kids by 2018.
