Course Description

The purpose of this module is to provide the participant with the knowledge and skills to apply basic welding and cutting techniques safely in the plumbing industry.

Pre-requisite Courses and Assumed Knowledge and Capabilities

VBM988 Workplace safety and environment procedures

It is strongly recommended that this module be delivered in conjunction with the following module to provide realistic, practical tasks for this application:
• VBN991 Tubes and pipes in plumbing.

Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including written/oral activities and demonstration of practical skills to the relevant industry standards.
Participants are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment activities to their teacher/assessor.  Feedback will be provided throughout the course.
