Course Description
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required for the safe, timely and efficient transport of clients from one location to another at a particular site, or to other sites
Pre-requisite Courses and Assumed Knowledge and Capabilities
This unit can be assessed independently, but may be concurrently assessed with:
- HLTCSD305 Assist with client movement, including manual handling
-HLTCSD203B Prepare and maintain beds
-HLTAIN302A Provide support in an acute care environment (Element 4 only)

Overview of Assessment
This unit is clustered with
• HLTCSD305 Assist with client movement, including manual handling
• Prepare and maintain beds - NURS5101C
• Provide support in an acute care environment -(element 4 only) - NURS5154C
There will be assessments conducted at the end of the 3 week block. Work placement assessments will take place according to timetable structure. On the completion of the traineeship the logbook with all required assessments for the package will be completed.
