This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance

Role play/simulation

Assessment Matrix

Short case study scenarios will be distributed for discussion throughout the course duration.
A summative test assessing knowledge will be required.
Practical demonstration of required first aid skills.
Observation in the workplace and assessment of clinical competencies will be ongoing during clinical placements.
To achieve competency assignment must be completed by due date and related clinical competencies achieved.
