Course Description
This unit deals with the cultural awareness required for effective communication and cooperation with persons of diverse cultures. This course will be contextualised to reflect requirements, issues and practices specific to allied health professionals.

Teaching Schedule
There will be two face to face teaching classes( 3 hours each session) for this course and the details of the class date and time will be in the timetable provided to the students. Timetable can also be accessed online in the learning hub.During these classes, there will be workshops conducted and the details will be available through RMIT learning hub.

Overview of Assessment
The assessment will involve presentation of case studies, group practical and observation in the simulated environment with questioning to address appropriate application of knowledge.
Assessment Tasks
The case studies, class room discussions and role plays help to assess students for their understanding of cultural diversity, its awareness in the workplace and resolution of cross cultural misunderstandings.
