Course Description

This course describes the basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology required to recognise body systems and their
components and to identify and refer alterations associated with the functioning of the human body in the context
of health care work.

Use accepted health terminology to describe the normal structure, function and location of the major body systems

Overview of Assessment

The assessment will involve online activities and written examination
There will be observation in the clinical placement with questioning to address appropriate application of knowledge.


Assessment Tasks

There will be two written examinations and the dates will be informed to the students. These examinations will assess the underpinning knowledge of the students for the body systems, the functioning of the normal healthy human body and the relationship between different systems.
