Course Description

This unit describes the knowledge and skills required to establish, lead and participate in a groups using a collaborative, strengths-based approach.

Assessment Tasks

 

Assessment one: Written response to questions – short answer reflective questions with written response on community development practice.

Assessment two: Group presentation and report – community development project in groups and facilitate, plan and evaluate a project within a group and then present to the group.  In additions, write an individual report and include an action plan.

Assessment three: Workplace simulation (role play) - respond to case study and facilitate 3 different group sessions with a minimum group size of 5 people.
