Overview of Assessment

Assessment for this course will be project based.

Assessment Tasks

Evidence of the following is essential:
• production of a range of samples or concept realisations which show the creative application of processes to 2-dimensional forms
• knowledge of the design process as it applies to 2-dimensional work.

TASK 1 -The elements & principles design statement using the city walk - due week 3
This assessment relates to learning the language of the design industry. It will involve taking photographs on a
’City Walk’ and participating in class discussion about design elements and principals. It will involve a written design statement.

TASK 3A  oral presentation- presenting your rug to the class in a power point presentation due week 9
