Learning Outcomes

Activities in this course aim to enhance your knowledge required to use appropriate tools, equipment, software and protocols to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network. The Internet will be used as a learning tool and a resource for students to seek and locate relevant information.

Details of Learning Activities

This unit demonstrates the skills required for an entry-level network support position. It covers networking fundamentals, wide area network (WAN) technologies, basic security, routing and switching fundamentals, and configuring simple networks.

Teaching Schedule

This Course will be co-delivered with the following course in the Second semester: ICTTEN513 Install, configure and test a local area network switch, as there is common material found in these courses and they compliment each other.
