Course Description

In this unit you will develop the skills and knowledge required to produce a range of displays and product presentations. It involves applying visual display knowledge, safely maintaining and using a simple tool kit, and accessing and organising relevant materials and equipment.

Details of Learning Activities

Present products (VMP1) will introduce students to the basics of display. Students will learn about the use of space and the fundamentals of creating displays for a variety of merchandise categories using a varitey of different design elements.

Students will take part in class discussions, presentations, small group activities and indivial activities. The students will enage in many practical exercise ( displays) to demonstrate thier competency.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment is on-going throughout the course. Assessment will incorporate a range of methods to assess performance and the application of knowledge and skills.
Assessment tasks are:
1 x folio 
1 x pop-up shop 

Please note: All Assessment tasks need to be completed before competency is achieved. A number of tasks will be formative to show your progress and development of skills and knowledge throughout the semester. The final task will be summative to provide a level of performance in addition to your competency.

To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete all the following pieces of assessment to a competent standard. You will receive ongoing verbal feedback throughout the semester and during the practical sessions.

All assessment taks must be completed.

Assessment 1 Black & White Pop Up shop (Individual & Group assessment) Brief will be presented in week 9 with installation in week 12

Assessment 2 Folio (Individual Assessment) Brief will be presented in week 1 with submission in week 16

Each one of these assessments is summative and graded and marked out of 100%
