Course Description
This unit deals with the skills and knowledge required to research and document the materials, construction techniques and methods associated with the construction of residential buildings.

Assessment for this course will be project based.
Assessment Tasks
Task 01 - Product Reference Portfolio
Task 02 - Working Drawings Details
All work for Assessment Tasks is required to be submitted on the due date and time as outlined in the
Assessment Briefs. Exception to this is where an approved DLU plan, an application for Special
Consideration or an approved Extension of Time is in place, submitted before the task’s due date
with appropriate documentation.

If your work is incomplete, you are strongly encouraged to submit your work on the due date, in order
to meet the submission requirements. Should it be below competency you may be asked to resubmit
(within 5 working days), and for that resubmission, if deemed competent, you may only receive a
Pass.
Late Submission
Submissions will only be accepted up to 3 working days after the due date and time, with appropriate
documentation ie a medical certificate. Apart from the exceptions listed above, submissions received
in this period can only receive a Pass (50%), if deemed competent.
