Assessment Tasks

Part 2: Assessment Information

Overview
There are two assessments for this course. Students must demonstrate competency in both assessments to pass this course. You will be assessed individually.

Assessment 1: Develop Operational Plan and Acquire Resources (Group assessment)
In Assessment 1, students show they have the knowledge and skills to develop an operational plan, and acquire resources, both human and physical, for the production of goods or services. In the second semester, students manage the sale of a product or provision of services through RMIT pop-up shops.  Various policies and plans need to be developed to ensure this runs smoothly and successfully. An Operational Plan is a normal part of the suite of company policies and plans, and can take many forms. A template will be provided to help students develop the Operational Plan.

Due week 13

Assessment 2: Monitor and review operational performance (Individual assessment)
Students show they have the knowledge and skills to monitor and review operational performance.

The form of the Assessment is: Case studies involving the monitoring and reviewing of operational performance (adapted from BSBMGT515A Manage operational plan, Pearson Australia 2010)

(Each student in a team may be asked to individually demonstrate their skills and knowledge for this unit in order to verify competency, if required.)
