Course Description
To demonstrate a knowledge of equipment needed for a cross country flight and awareness of survival procedures, and to complete aerodynamics to PPL standard, including twin engine operation theory.
Pre-requisite Courses and Assumed Knowledge and Capabilities
Completion of Module 1.08 Basic Aeronautical Knowledge (BAK) Examination, and Module 1.10 General Flying Progress Test (GFPT).

1. Locate and list the equipment necessary for flight, and demonstrate tie down, stowage and ELB procedures. 2. Recall selected definitions, Bernoulli's theorem and airflow around a wing. 3. Recall and state the forces on an aircraft during manoeuvres and factors which affect an aircraft during such manoeuvres. 4. Recall and state selected information on stalling and spinning. 5. State range, loading and endurance concepts. 6. State the three planes of stability and control, factors affecting them, and the aerodynamic controls used for flight 7. Overview of Assessment
Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including written/oral activities and demonstration of practical skills to the relevant industry standards. Participants are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment activities to their teacher/assessor. Feedback will be provided throughout the course.
