This course is to provide training in aerospace drawing (Avonics) practices.

Learning Outcomes

1. Explain classifications and types of Avonics drawings used in the aerospace industry.
2. Explain conventions and symbols used in electrical and electronic drawings.
3. Draw a schematic circuit skech or description and use correct conventions and symbols.
4. Draw block diagrams from schematic circuit diagrams.
5. Draw a wring diagram from a wring sketch or working description.
6. Draw a logic diagram from a rough sketch or description.
7. Construct artwork for a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) for a sample electronic circuit.
8. Prepare circuit schematics, wring diagrams, componet layouts and printed circuit designs using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software.


Overview of Assessment

To successfully complete this course the student is required to pass written assessment tasks and demonstrate skills and ability by completing pratical tasks to aerospace standard.
