The purpose of this module is to provide participants with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to apply total quality management (TQM) in the workplace

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module the learner should be able to:
1. Explain the pressures on Australian industry to implement TQM.
2. Explain key terms and concepts of TQM.
3. Analyse the organisational elements that support TQM.
4. Use statistical tools for quality measurement.
5. Apply a range of group problem solving techniques.
6. Identify the training needed to implement TQM.
7. Develop a TQM implementation plan
Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this module will consist of the following:
1 x closed book examination at the end of the program
2 x individual assignments
1 x group project
