Overview of Assessment
This is a progressive assessment, the underpinning knowledge will be assessed on the completion of each course, but the competency itself will not be signed off until further courses related to the competency are completed and the student is deemed competent.
The students are required to undertake summative assessments as follows:
• Progressive Written Assessments
• Written Assignments
• Scheduled Practical Exercises
• Work Simulation Projects
Assessment Tasks
Digital Principles:
The assessment is conducted in both theoretical and practical aspects of the course according to the criteria set in the National Training Package. The students are required to undertake summative assessments that bring together skills and knowledge as follows:
* Theoretical Written assessment
* Laboratory Assignments
* Major Project Design and Implementation
* In order to satisfactorily complete the competency the student must:
1. Produce an operating project as per the project specifications.
2. Produce a written project report
3. Pass the written assessment
4. Satisfactorily complete 75% of all laboratory exercises/assignments.
Computer Programming 1:
