Learning Outcomes
Details of Learning Activities
Paticipate
• Classroom tutorial activities to consolidate the theory and application of various types of modulation systems, transmission line, microwave propagation and fibre optic communication systems.
• Practical activities to develop skill in construction the working model of various types oscillators, receiver and transmission line systems. Conduct complex testing process, diagnose & rectify fault and verify the performance as specification.
• Work performance simulation projects involving the design and construction of selected systems, development of testing procedure to verify the performance specification, diagnosis of faults in the systems and repair the fault. Specifications will be provided with work simulation (team or individual basis) or may be negotiated to suit a workplace based application

Overview of Assessment
This is a progressive assessment, the underpinning knowledge will be assessed on the completion of each course, but the competency itself will not be signed off until further courses related to the competency are completed and the student is deemed competent.
The students are required to undertake summative assessments as follows:
• Progressive Written Assessment
• Written Assignments
• Scheduled Practical Exercises
• Work Simulation Projects
• Case Studies
Assessment Tasks
The assessment is conducted in both theoretical and practical aspects of the course according to the criteria set in the National Training Package. The students are required to undertake summative assessments that bring together skills and knowledge as follows:
* Theoretical Written assessment.
* Work Simulation Projects
* A Pass in schedule practical exercises
