Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit you will possess the skills and knowledge for workers in the health care setting to clean and sterilise reusable instruments and equipment and to maintain associated environments. All procedures must be carried out in accordance with current infection control guidelines, Australia and New Zealand Standards for maintaining infection control and the policies and procedures of the health care establishment.

Clinical observation. Assignment. Production of practise manual including instrument re-processing procedures.
