Course Description

This unit covers identifying and handling various electronic components from basic types to more advanced types including IC and sub-assemblies. It also covers the physical features and primary characteristic of components. The completion of this unit will be prepared for future development on electronic component placement machines or apparatus. It encompasses working safely, problem solving procedures, including the use of voltage, current and resistance measuring devices, providing solutions derived from measurements, calculations, handling and interfacing to predictable problems of components in electronic circuits.
