Course Description

This unit covers development of engineering solutions to resolve problems with induction motors. It encompasses working safely, apply extensive knowledge of induction motor operation and construction and their application, gathering and analysing data, applying problem solving techniques, developing and documenting solutions and alternatives.

Students will develop specific skills and knowledge required to work safely in the applications of motor protection and control circuits. It includes the principles of operation and control of various types of motors and practical application of various motor protection devices
