Learning Outcomes
Details of Learning Activities
Students will participate a variety of learning methods, such as lectures, class discussions, tutorials, projects/examples, and assessment tasks. You will be assessed in various ways to ensure you meet the requirements of the course. Assessment tasks consist of Design Portfolio and Design Project Report. Successful graduation from the course is achieved when you attain competency grade for ALL assessment tasks. The student needs to work on 7 hours of portfolio peparation and 8 hours of system design projects and report preparation outside the contact hours.
Teaching Schedule
Please Note:-
While your teacher will cover all the material in this schedule, the weekly teaching & assessment order is subject to change depending on class needs & availability of resources. The student needs to work on 7 hours of portfolio peparation and 8 hours of system design projects and report preparation outside the contact hours.

Overview of Assessment
A person who demonstrates competency in this unit
must be able to apply aeronautical system design
principles and techniques in mechanical engineering
situations. Competency in this unit cannot be claimed
until all prerequisites have been satisfied.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment task one - Portfolio (50%)
Assessment task two - Project report (50%)
NB: This is a Competency assessed course. You must achieve competency for all Elements in order to achieve the competency. If you have achieved an overall Competent result you will then be given a graded assessment:
The grading codes are shown below:
CHD: Competent with High Distinction
CDI: Competent with Distinction
CC: Competent with Credit
CAG: Competency Achieved – Graded
NYC: Not Yet Competent
DNS: Did Not Submit the assessment/s
