2017 Enrolment Program Structure

To graduate you must complete the following:

  • The Master of Information Management consists of 12 courses, each worth 12 credit points. The structure of this postgraduate program is simple and flexible. You are required to complete 7 compulsory core courses and 5 elective courses.
  • The mode of study is both face-to-face and via online. International Students can only study online if the online courses make up 25 per cent of your total program as stipulated in your visa conditions.
  • Those who wish to undertake courses through online mode are requested to select the class number denoted by (ONL).
  • If you have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma in Information Management at RMIT within the last 10 years, you are eligible for 8 course exemptions and therefore have 4 courses remaining. If you apply for exemptions from postgraduate courses completed at other institutions, these will be decided by the selection officer upon receipt of your academic transcript.
  • Graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and of Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia (RIMPA) upon successful completion of LIBR1028 Records Management and Archives Administration.
