External accreditation and industry links

The Master of Supply Chain and Logistics Management is certified by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Australia (CILTA) as meeting the educational requirements of Chartered Membership (CMILT).

The Master of Supply Chain and Logistics Management is also accredited by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

Students of the Master of Supply Chain and Logistics Management are eligible for student membership. By selecting appropriate courses, graduates of the program may be eligible for affiliate membership of CIPS.

For graduates to be eligible for CIPS affiliate membership the following conditions must be met:

All units must be successfully passed – no exemptions or condonements
The following two electives must be taken:

  • BUSM1474  Managing Supply Contracts
  • OMGT2236  Strategic Procurement Management

The third elective must be taken from the following list:

  • OMGT1236  e-Business Supply Chains
  • BUSM3882  Logistics Research Project
  • INTE1208    e-Procurement and Supply Chain Technologies

If BUSM3882 Logistics Research Project is taken as one of the electives, it must be conducted in a procurement and supply chain related area.

Stage A:

The Master of Supply Chain and Logistics Management has a new program structure effective Semester 1, 2017. Students have been sent details of the program changes.

All students are invited to an Information Session to discuss these changes and address any queries. This session will be held on Tuesday 8 November 4:30pm – 5:30pm in 080.03.015. If you are unable to attend the session, please ensure you familiarise yourself with these changes and seek advice from Business Central if unclear. It is highly recommended that International students attend this session.

  • OMGT2145 Professional Logistics Practice has been renamed OMGT2145 Logistics in Practice
  • OMGT2087 Logistics Systems has been renamed OMGT2087 Supply Chain Modelling & Design
  • OMGT1012 Transport & Freight Logistics has been renamed OMGT1012 Distribution and Freight Logistics
  • OMGT2186 Quantitative Data Analysis and Decision Making has been replaced with ISYS3374 Business Analytics. Please submit a Non-Standard Enrolment application to Business Central if you did not complete OMGT2186 and need to complete ISYS3374
  • BUSM3327 Supply Chain Project Management has been replaced with BUSM4610 Business Project Management. Please submit a Non-Standard Enrolment application to Business Central if you did not complete BUSM3327 and need to complete BUSM4610
